Rent the Runway - One of the originals in the fashion rental market. They carry luxury fashion, designer, maternity, accessories, and even children’s clothing.

This app allows you to rent your clothes out or renting clothes from real people’s closets! The bad news? They’re based in NYC and have yet to expand, but are open to it. The more demand we have in our cities, the more likely we can all have access to this genius service!

Gwynnie Bee - This site carries women’s clothing in a large range of sizes! They provide more casual, everyday, clothing and great clothes suited for work.

Le Tote - A subscription model that let’s you wear items to your hearts content and return them when you’re ready. If you love it and never want to give it up, you can keep it for a fee.

Armoire - Another subscription based model that allows you to return when you’re finished wearing the item. They carry cool and contemporary clothing for events or everyday wear and have a large selection of maternity clothes.

The Mr. & Mrs. Collection - This subscription model is one for all the dudes (aka everyone) out there! Good for everyday and professional wear.

Send Lend - Designer clothing and accessories to your doorstep within two days. You keep for a week and return after your event.

Rainey’s Closet - If you have kids, you’ll definitely want to know about this one! Children grow out of their clothing faster than you have time to shop for, so why not rent? Maternity clothing is also available for rent.

what & WHEN to rent

We recommend renting high ticket items that will only be worn once; weddings, galas, or other festive events are great examples.

Maternity clothing is another perfect time to rent clothes as pregnant bodies can go through quick or drastic changes in a short amount of time, which can get expensive, and with a little one on the way, there’s probably better ways you can spend your money. Luckily there are some great options I’ve listed above!

Starting a professional job and don’t quite have the funds or clothes to make it a full week dressing in business casual attire? Check out Gwynnie Bee & LeTote’s selection of work wear to rent.

If you just want to try out some new styles without the full commitment of buying it for yourself, there’s nothing wrong with renting some everyday wear either.
